Weddings & Private Events

The White Barn at South Farms is a defining landmark in Litchfield County. We offer exclusive use of the award-winning White Barn and its various spaces (the parlor, hayloft, bull room, lounge, stone barn and kitchen) for parties, fundraisers and wedding receptions. Guests have access to the barnyard grounds for photographs, cocktail hour and on-site ceremonies. CATERING

South Farms works with exclusive catering partners. Exceptions are made rarely and subject to fees. You can speak with your South Farms liaison for more information related to catering partners and requirements.

South Farms has a large in-house catering kitchen equipped with all necessary equipment, prep tables, walk-in fridge, and rentals including glassware, flatware, dishware and more.

CAPACITY AND RENTAL PERIOD

For weddings and celebrations including a sit-down dinner and dancing, South Farms has a standard capacity for up to 150 guests rain or shine. The bull room and lounge can accommodate a smaller guest count for more intimate settings under 75 guests.

For larger and custom affairs, please submit an inquiry to discuss your specific event with our Events Director. Events over 150 can be accommodated on property but require rain accommodations, possible tenting and additional logistical considerations. Use of a wedding planner for tented weddings on property is encouraged.
